Embodied Life Path Coaching

When we embark on a life lived in pursuit of our purpose, we are embarking on a journey into the unknown, a path that is often filled with many challenges and obstacles. Thankfully, each challenge we face is also an invitation for us to journey deeper into ourselves, discover essential aspects of our being, and incorporate them into our everyday life – empowering us to move forward on our path and share our gifts with the world.

Like any good adventure, at some point many of us will find ourselves facing challenges that we don’t feel we can overcome alone, leaving us feeling stuck and unable to move forward.

At times like these, having a guide that can offer you tools and support in overcoming these challenges while simultaneously helping you to unearth and incorporate the treasures they contain can be the difference between moving forward on your path of purpose, or staying stuck where you are.

When we work together, I bring my skills and experience as a life coach, plant medicine facilitator, transformational wilderness guide, and personal trainer to support you on your unique journey in collaborative and often unorthodox ways.

Play Wild!
Youth Roughhousing Mentor

Whether you know it as horse-play, play-fighting, or roughhousing, chances are you know what I’m talking about. That’s because it is ingrained in our DNA. However, as our modern culture races to catch up to the technological advances that have arisen in the last few centuries, roughhousing has been cast aside along with the myriad of physical, emotional and social benefits it cultivates in children.

Roughhousing is a surprising well researched topic, and the positive effects it has on humans, especially adolescents, is really astounding. The short list of benefits include increases in: social skills, academic performance, emotional intelligence, physical fitness, personal resilience, and even JOYFULNESS!

I believe roughhousing is a basic, powerful, and important nutrient for all humans, and like all nutrients, it is especially important for children to receive in order for healthy development through to adulthood.

I, along with each mentee, collaboratively build a roughhousing practice designed for the development of emotional expression, personal and interpersonal boundaries, powerful and authentic yeses and noes, and personal resilience – all while having loads of fun!
Sessions are held at your home or nearby public parks and are 30 minutes long.  The intended age range is 5-10 years, but exceptions for age can be made if it’s a good fit.

I grew up in rural southern Oregon where I was free to run wild on the banks of the Rogue River, the foothills and forests of the Cascade mountains, and the oak savanna of the Rogue Valley. This freedom to explore and feel at home in nature cultivated a deep, lifelong relationship with both nature and adventure.

It wasn’t until I began trail running that I first recognized the possibility of movement in nature as a holistic practice. This drew me towards the study of nutrition, human movement and the primal relationships humans have held with nature.

I started Primal Nature Fitness in 2018, focusing primarily on using nature based fitness to help facilitate a reunion between humans and the natural world. I immediately saw that, though this is an important aspect of healing, there was so much more that my clients were seeking than increased physical health or the primarily physical connection with nature my practice was offering them.

This led me to train as a Nature Connected Life Coach and Transformational Wilderness Guide through Earth Based Institute in Boulder, CO. Here I found both a practice I was passionate about and something I was gifted in facilitating.

Since then, my journey to becoming a better coach and guide has led me to focus on a variety of facilitation tools including Partswork, Processwork, and plant medicine facilitation.
